Come along with ToursByNona as we travel to the west coast and the fascinating Greek community of Tarpon Springs. At the turn of the century a small task force of Greek immigrants developed a fleet of 200 boats and more than 500 workers and turned Tarpon Springs into one of the world’s leading sponge ports. While Tarpon is still widely known for its sponges, the Hellenic culture is also a major asset. Enjoy your day as you wish…shopping and exploring along the sponge docks, a short cruise in the Gulf to see how they dive for sponges, or just enjoying a meal at one of the many delicious local restaurants. Be sure to stop in one the Greek bakeries for some superb pastries to take home. A two hour scenic boat ride to Anclote Island is included!

Join Tours by Nona as we travel to the west coast and the lovely Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theater. Following a delicious buffet luncheon we’ll enjoy a matinee performance of FOREVER PLAID,  one of the most popular and successful musicals in recent memory. This deliciously goofy revue centers on four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950's on the way to their first big concert, and now miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was. Singing in the closest of harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision, the "Plaids" are a guaranteed smash, with a program of beloved songs and delightful patter that keeps audiences rolling in the aisles when they're not humming along to some of the great nostalgic pop hits of the 1950's, like “Three Coins in a Fountain,” “Chain Gang,” “Scotland the Brave,” & “Love is a Many Splendored Thing.”  A must see performance!
